Are you looking to upgrade your 4th Gen hard drive to a 40gb or even a 60gb? If so, you will need to replace your rear housing. These are USED rear casings that will fit your 40gb or 60gb hard drive and are a must to upgrade from a 20gb or 30gb hard drive. Again these are used rear casings.

Does your iPod look like a worn down door handle? If so, you need to replace the rear housing with a new one. These are used rear housings that will fit the thin iPod 20gb.

Have you taken your iPod for a swim? Having connection problems but the iPod seems to function fine when not trying to sync with your computer? Having power problems that a software update or battery didn't cure? The do-it-yourself types can order a replacement mainboard to get your iPod back in service quickly. This is a bare board for the 4th Generation Mono screen- it does not come with the hard drive, scroll wheel or lcd attached and only works with the mono lcd - it will not work with the color lcd (call for this part).

This is a replacement for the hard drive cable inside your iPod 4th Generation. This part is frequently damaged when the iPod is disassembled. If you have taken your iPod apart and upon reassembly you get the "file folder" error icon, this would be the first thing to check. If you don't feel comfortable with opening it back up or if you are unsure if this is what is ailing your iPod, just send it in for one of our technicians to take a look. We do not charge a diagnostic fee and can save you the time (and expense) of "part swapping" until you nail the problem part.
